This is one of the most important essential oils to have in your collection. There are many different types of Helichrysum, but the one preferred and most used therapeutically is Helichrysum iltalicum.

Helichrysum may also be helpful for physical and emotional scars. Emotionally, this is an essential oil that helps those experiencing emotional pain. 

It works well with so many different essential oils and is often used in many of our blends formulated to assist with soreness, scarring and/or blemishes. One of the essential oil blends that utilizes Helichrysum is (Liv-Better) because it offers many excellent properties that help support and maintain proper liver function.

Our Helichrysum iltalicum is steam distilled from fresh flowers, as opposed to a dry distillation. This flower does not release a lot of oil through this process which requires more plant material to make an ounce of essential oil. This is why this essential oil is more expensive than many other essential oils.

Common Uses:

•  Apply with Copaiba or Cypress to sore areas on the body for relief and greater mobility.

•  Apply to scars, injuries, or wounds to lessen discomfort, facilitate repair and cleansing.

•  Apply to bridge of nose when experiencing a bloody nose to lessen flow.

•  Apply 1 drop in 1-2 teaspoons (the younger the child the more carrier oil used) of carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil to the jaw line of children experiencing teething challenges.
